Born in Quebec, Canada, and drafted in 1979, Ray Bourque would go on to spend more of his life playing NHL hockey in Boston that he did living in his hometown of Sain-Laurent.

These are the kind of trades that a pre-cap era would produce. The Avs were no stranger to the big trade and Pierre Lacroix was never afraid to shake-up the lineup.
