The thankless job of being a referee is, well, thankless. I don’t think there has ever been a kid who grew up want to be a referee but, there are those humble enough to do whatever it takes to get more ice time and stick around the game the love. The NHL is considering using Ref Cam in regular season action, soon and I for one can’t wait. I love the in the game/on the ice angles and the sense of action you get from a very POV type video feed. It’s shaky, erratic and right up in the businesses. Perfect!
