Claude Lapointe was a hard-nosed hockey player who transition his career into being an on-ice leader as the NHL got bigger, stronger, faster and younger. Most Avs fans don’t really know Lapointe unless they were following the Nordiques before the Avs came to Colorado. He’s an old school hockey player who found a way to stay relevant and extend his playing career far longer than most players can.
