Five for Friday –  the curated list of hockey links to help you put an end to the last day of the week. Nothing too serious… just some hockey links for the hockey fan in you.

We’re always researching for a project/podcast and finding cool stuff worth sharing. Sometimes it’s videos, sometimes it’s cool tweeps worth following. Other times it’s articles from folks who swim in the deep-end of the hockey knowledge pool. Here’s what we’ve found this week. Stay Awesome!

  1. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly surrounding Tyson Barrie By J.D. Killian on May 2, 2016
This is a great read about Barrie – both by the numbers and in terms of potential. Also, knowing the history of his agencies dealings with he Avs makes me really question if we’re going to retain Barrie.
  2. 2016 NHL Draft Prospect: Michael McLeod – From Burgundy Brigade
How strange it would be to have two McLeods on the team. The nickname game would be in full effect. I’m thinking Daddy Mac and Mac Daddy… although we do have another MacK on the team… Could be the Mac(k) attack.
  3. Some good insights on Mikko Rantanen and the Colorado Avalanche Prospects from hockeysfuture.com
  4. The Avs version of the “Farm Report”
  5. Some quick bits about JT Compher from the official source –

With two assists in a 5-2 win over Ferris State on Feb. 19, Compher became the 84th player in Michigan history to join the 100-point club.

Honorable mentions:

  • State of the San Antonio Rampage roster – Kevin from The Burgundy Brigade does a deep-dive into the San Antonio Rampage roster. It really does seem like the Avs are ready to cut ties with a lot of prospects from the previous regime.
